The Bluffs
Located in the shadows of downtown Atlanta, the Bluffs is a 25 square block ghetto. Ninety percent of the population in this area is addicted to drugs. The drug of choice in the area is heroin, and if you'll pay attention to the pictures below, you'll notice a syringe that I saw laying in the dirt next to the sidewalk. Sex trafficking is also common in this area, as most women are prostitutes, and many others are sold into slavery each day.
While there, the youth of our church working through Team Effort in conjunction with 7 Bridges Ministry, had the opportunity to meet many of the residents while passing out lunches, in order to open the door to pray with them and share the love of Jesus Christ.
This was an overgrown church in the middle of the neighborhood.
